A STATUE OF KING MASINISSA AT DELOS

In 180 B.C. Masinissa made a large gift of grain (about 2,900 medimnoi) to the island of Delos, and Hermon is named as one of the officials who administered the gift; see G.Reger, "Regionalism and Change in the Economy of Independent Delos", pp.112-3 ( UC Press E-Books ).


This statue of king Masannasa, son of king Gaia, his friend, was dedicated to Apollo by Hermon son of Solon.
