The sons of Menestratos mentioned in this decree were no doubt the brothers of Neon ( see Syll_405 ).

Gods. In the year of Charixenos as archon at Delphi; at the autumn assembly; with the following men acting as hieromnemones:

It is resolved by the hieromnemones: since Bryas and Menekles and Asklapiadas, the sons of Menestratos, and Aristippos the son of (?) Antandros, all from Argos, have assisted the god by reporting the loss of money, and have brought those responsible to justice, and have imposed a penalty on them, therefore so that they may continue to assist the god [in future], it is resolved to grant them priority in receiving justice, and security, just as was granted [to Neon by vote] of the hieromnemones when Aristagoras was archon.
