Following normal practice, this decree of the city of Delphi coincided with the honours awarded to Timokrates by the Amphictyonic Council ( Syll_506 ).
[The Delphians] have granted to Timokrates of Chios, [the son of Timokrates], both for himself and for his descendants, proxeny, priority in consulting the oracle, [privileged seating at games], priority in receiving justice, inviolability, freedom from all taxes, and all the other rights that are granted to other proxenoi and benefactors.
