Sylloge Inscriptionum Graecarum: 358

EPIDAUROS HONOURS KLEOMBROTOS OF ASTYPALAIA

Greek text:   IG_4.1.615
Date:     c. 300 B.C.
Format:   see key to translations

Astypalaia was a colony of Epidauros: see Syll_357.   Dittenberger suggested that the two inscriptions 357 & 358 might be connected, but this is far from certain.

The city of the Epidaurians has crowned Kleombrotos of Astypalaia, the son of Pheres, with a statue and with citizenship for himself and his descendants, on account of his dignity and his goodwill towards the city of the Epidaurians.
