Sylloge Inscriptionum Graecarum: 773
ATHENIANS PARTICIPATING IN THE DODEKAÏS AT DELPHI
Greek text: FD_3.2.59
Date: 26/5 B.C.
Format: see key to translations
The dodekaïs procession to Delphi, which was held for the first time in this year, was in effect a rebranding of the Pythaïs procession, which was last recorded in 97 B.C. ( Syll_728 ); see S. Kühn, "Neue Untersuchungen zur Pythaïs-Prozession von Athen nach Delphi", pp.186-193 ( PDF ). Some modern writers suggest a slightly earlier date for this inscription, in 30/29 B.C.
With good fortune of the council and people of Athens. When Antigenes was archon at Delphi, and Architimos was archon at Athens, these men led the dodekēïs:

- Exegetes pythochrestos from the Eupatridai : Polykritos of Azenia, son of Polycharmos
- Exēgētēs from the Eupatridai, appointed by the people : Diotimos of Halai, son of Diodoros
- Herald of Apollo and priest of Hermes Patrōos of the Kerykes {Heralds} : Gorgippos of Melite, son of Eudemos
- Hieromnemon : Thrasykles of Lakiadai, son of Thrasykles
- Seers : Archikles of Lakiadai, son of Thrasykles, and Lysias of Lakiadai, son of Paranomos
