THE AMPHICTYONS HONOUR ANTAGORAS

This decree was probably intended to confirm the privileges granted to Antagoras over 25 years earlier in Syll_498, although by this time his father Achaiïon had died.

In the year of Herys as archon, at the autumn assembly, when the hieromnemones were as follows:

Aetolians: Physkos, Damoteles, Phalausias, Dikaiarchos, Daïmachos, Agemachos, Polemarchos, Teisias, Kypselos, Kaphisias, Antigenes
Delphians: Polyon, Diodoros
Chians: Oinopides

It was resolved that security and priority in receiving justice shall be granted to Antagoras; and that he shall not be required to be choregos for any shows that are staged by the Delphians.
