Agathaios of Prospalta, who is mentioned in this inscription, was the treasurer of the Panathenaia, according to another inscription of the same year ( IG_2³.1.1023 ).
In the year of Athenodoros as archon, in the twelfth prytany of the Antigonis tribe, with Arketos of Hamaxanteia, the son of Archias, acting as secretary; on the ninth day of the month of Skirophorion, which was the ninth day of the prytany, in full assembly; Demetrios of Hagnous, the son of Kleophon, the other presidents put it to the vote on behalf of the presidents; it was resolved by the council and people, as proposed by Kallias of Gargettos, the son of Thrasippos: since the athlothetes have taken care of the management of the Panathenaia, [with a contribution] from Agathaios of Prospalta, and they have managed the musical contest and the gymnastic contest and the horse race and they have performed all their other duties justly according to the law; and they have offered sacrifices on behalf of the council and the Athenian people [to Apollo] Prostaterios and . . .
