FROM ISIS TO THERMOUTHION

Greek text:   BGU 1680
Date:   3rd cent. A.D.

Isis to Thermouthion her mother very many greetings. I make supplication for you every day before the lord Sarapis and his fellow gods. I wish you to know that I have arrived in Alexandria safe and sound in four days. I send salutations to my sister and the children and Elouath and his wife and Dioscorous and her husband and children and Tamalis and her husband and son and Heron and Ammonarion and her children and husband and Sanpat and her children. And if Aion wishes to join the army, let him come; for everyone is in the army. I pray for the health of all your household.

{Addressed}   ... from Isis her daughter.
