Adeimantos of Lampsakos was a diplomat and friend of Demetrios, who appointed him to be one of the presidents of the council of the Hellenic League ( for which, see BD_8 ). Adeimantos to king Demetrios, greetings. The decree which the Amphictyons had made in the previous year, having been presented at the Isthmia, and having been sanctified at Delphi, I have sent to you as you thought necessary. Likewise too the letters from your friends, so that you may keep abreast of what each has decided, having made a transcription on a stele in accordance with the decision made to dedicate (?) also that which we have done at the council meeting as well as the privileges voted by the Amphictyons . . .
