According to Stephanus Byzantinus, Seleukos I was the founder of Thyateira: "Thyateira: a city of Lydia that was previously called Pelopeia and Semiramis; Seleukos Nikator called the city Thygateira, when he was fighting against Lysimachos and heard that a daughter (thugatēr) had been born to him."   For more information about this inscription, see PHRC_65.


Dedicated to king Seleukos by the leaders and the soldiers of the Macedonians in Thyateira.
